This Week in Ashburn: September 29-October 5

A mix of good news, bad news and fun this week across Ashburn. Congratulations to the JV and Varsity Cheer squads at Stone Bridge for capturing first at a recent competition! There were plenty of Oktober/Fall fest celebrations, as well. A black mark on our community is the continuing vandalism directed towards our Hindu community. Hats off to our sheriff’s department, delegates, senator, and supervisors who quickly called and attended a town meeting on the matter.

As we head into the home stretch of summer here in Ashburn, the schools are stirring with activity. Sports, picnics, parent meetings are all in full swing. I have one question: will the ROMEO Club consider making me an honorary member? 😉

This Week in Ashburn: May 26-June 1

Ashburn’s weather week was a sandwich of gorgeous weather filled with storms! The Ringing in Hope: A Salute to Our Troops traditional race shifted from Brambleton to One Loudoun, but that didn’t confuse our runners! They came out in record forces to celebrate, remember and raise money. Several Stone Bridge athletic teams continued their winning ways, and our friends from Lost Rhino make the big time!
