Monday we took a snow day, leading to snow delays in Ashburn. The drama department at Riverside cancelled one night’s performance of The Brothers Grimm Spectacular to make sure everything was just right. Luckily, Chris Herren had room in his schedule to push back is very important talk to our community.
By the end of the week, though, we had smooth sailing, with high temperatures and outdoor fun by our high schoolers and some great accomplishments. Read on!
The thespians at Riverside HS had to double up on practice because of the snow days. Thursday’s performance was cancelled, but the show went on for the weekend.
The weather cause many reschedulings. Among those events was Chris Herren, former NBA player who was able to reschedule his talk at Riverside HS. Chris shared his life journey of the highs of playing basketball and, unfortunately, the highs of alcohol and drugs. Chris talks to youth across the country about his lows and his recovery.
Nothing like smooth jazz at the Stone Bridge HS coffee house. Pull up a chair and enjoy good company, good music and delicious beverages!
National Letter of Intent Day in Ashburn, VA is always an exciting day! With so many great athletic programs, it’s fun to see the different colleges our student-athletes aspire to for the next level of both their studies and athletics!
